30 years of digital manufacturing simulation
I worked in 3 countries: Russia, the USA and Australia but did very similar things:
In Russia, I wrote my Ph.D on simulation of injection molding the simulation was 1.5D,
In the USA, I worked as a post-doc at the University of Illinois under a great man named Professor Charles L. Tucker. I worked on simulation of injection molding and RTM. The simulation was 2.5D.
In Australia I worked for the firm named Moldflow (later part of Autodesk) and developed commercial 2.5 D and 3D simulation. I have done a lot of projects there, but one of them created Solver API, a tool to customize physical models we use in this software. I am eagerly anticipating the creation of a market for those extensions.
